Based in New York City, Indexing Research provides software and services to professional indexers, and indexing and abstracting services to companies and organizations.

Originally located in Rochester, NY, the company has grown steadily since its founding in 1986, and enjoys an enviable reputation for quality products and services. While much of our business is in North America, we also provide software and services throughout the world.

Software
Our major product, CINDEX™, is the foremost software tool for professional indexers, enabling them to produce the finest indexes in virtually any format with remarkable efficiency and speed. CINDEX™ is available for Windows 95 and higher, and for Macintosh OS X. We also supply specialized software for converting formatted index documents into forms that can be worked on by indexing programs.

Services
We provide a range of indexing, abstracting and document conversion services.

We index works of all sizes, ranging from short monographs to major texts and academic journals. We cover a range of disciplines, but have special expertise in clinical and basic medical sciences, in the biological sciences, and in historical records.

Our abstracting service prepares synopses of company documents and reports, and provide these as printed documents, and/or documents for electronic retrieval.
